The Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary Action Group are members of the public who generously volunteer their time to help monitor and care for the Port River dolphins, and make the Port River and Barker Inlet a safer place for them to live.

The Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) are Australia’s only national charity dedicated solely to protecting our precious ocean wildlife – a community of ocean lovers across the nation working for healthy seas.
Australian Marine Wildlife Research and Rescue Organisation
AMWRRO’s primary objective is to rescue and rehabilitate injured marine wildlife from Australian waters. AMWRRO is the only organisation in South Australia licensed to rescue, rehabilitate and release all seals, all seabirds and all sea turtles species. We also work in conjunction with state departments to rescue and release dolphins and whales that are found entangled, injured or beached.
Australian Microplastic Assessment Project (AUSMAP)
AUSMAP is the bridge between a massive problem and the solutions. It is designed to document and analyse microplastic pollution in Australian aquatic environments. The Total Environment Centre (TEC) and Macquarie University are the project leaders, working with a consortium of research, environment, education, government and sustainable business organisations.

Coastal Ambassador Program, Green Adelaide
The Coastal Ambassadors Program provides an educational experience to around 50 Adelaidians every year, to encourage conservation and advocacy. The program offers two separate courses – one for youth and the other for adults – to community members who are passionate about protecting and conserving Adelaide’s stunning coastlines and marine life.

Conservation SA is the voice for South Australia’s environment. For nearly 50 years they have been committed to protecting, restoring and conserving our unique and beautiful natural spaces, and promoting a truly sustainable future for our state.
Earthwatch Institute
Earthwatch is an international environmental charity. They create knowledge and inspire action through hands-on projects and programs to keep ahead of climate change, to save the reef and oceans, to restore our iconic landscapes and protect our unique wildlife.
Estuary Care Foundation
Estuary Care Foundation (ECF) promotes the protection of the ecology and shorelines of South Australia’s Port River and Barker Inlet. The foundation has a culture of engaging with communities (including environment, government, business and education), and a strong foundation in citizen science. It promotes nature-based solutions through community action.
